About my photography
My work explores the concept of confluence—of environments, epochs, experiences, and identities. This should in hindsight be no surprise.
After all, my life story has been one of confluence. Scientific and creative paths merging in a career in pharmaceutical advertising. Interests in technology and the visual arts flowing together into a newfound passion
for photography, under the now-obvious name of Both Sides Photography. And my love for landscape photography finding confluence with my desire for intimate relationships with the places where I live in an artistic approach called the Ambiscape.
Drawing from my landscape roots, my work follows a slow and intentional process, using color, tone, and compositional structure to convey not only how I saw a place, but how I felt to be in it. Human presence appears with increasing frequency in the work—sometimes observational, sometimes directed, sometimes autobiographical—to deepen the narrative and psychological dimensions.
Ultimately, my work brings viewers inside these confluences, inviting contemplation of the relationships, memories, and quiet conditions unfolding where place, time, and presence converge.
My Approach
What began as a passion project has evolved into something more. We’re proud of where we’ve been and even more excited for what’s ahead. What sets us apart isn’t just our process—it’s the intention behind it. We take time to understand, explore, and create with purpose at every turn.
Simple ideas
Through every step, we've focused on staying true to our values and making space for thoughtful, lasting work.
Lasting impact
We build with clarity, act with integrity, and always stay curious.
